About me
Dr. Cindy Chang (she/they) is a licensed clinical psychologist, researcher, and consultant. She is based in San Diego and offers online therapy services throughout the state of California. Her approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and highly individualized. She is passionate about helping individuals meet their goals and thrive in their environments using research-backed techniques.
Dr. Chang completed their doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University, APA-accredited internship at the VA Puget Sound, Seattle, and APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. Dr. Chang’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has won 12 awards or grants recognizing her work, including the Bisexual Foundation Scholarship Award (American Psychological Association), Mental Health Advocates Tomorrow Award (Hinge), and Researching Injustice and Social Equity Award (Association of Psychological Science). In addition, Cindy has taught at an undergraduate-level and led numerous presentations and trainings on mental health and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Outside of work, Cindy enjoys weight lifting, dancing, learning languages, and cooking and eating food.
